She got her independent in the year 2011.South Sudan is a country which has suffered a lot from civil wars and these have hampered, the spiritual, economic social and political Development of the country.
Orthodox church in South Sudan was introduced in the year 1965 by the Greek missionaries from Khartoum. Due to constant civil wars, the Orthodox church could not grow and many Orthodox Christians including their priests were always on the run.
